Explore Birdberry Tangle
Though named for the birds that inhabit the tangled mass of berry bushes here, the Tangle is also home to small mammals. The berry bearing vines here produce blossoms in early summer which ripen into berries in late summer and early autumn. At first daunting, it can prove welcoming to those who learn to navigate its sparse openings and low entry points. Nestled at its center is an open space, kept free from growth by partially exposed stone, revealing the soil at its center is too shallow to be overrun. | ||
