Nocturne's map is conveniently divided into a number of squares to help our writers distinguish specific areas they are in. Packs can claim an area which results in coloring those squares the same color as their primary pack color. Wolves can travel a set number of squares each day. You can click here to see a version of the map without the grid.
Traveling in Nocturne:
Each map square equals 10 miles. A healthy adult wolf can travel up to 4 squares (40 miles) per day; juveniles, elders, and pups move slower. These estimates assume steady movement with few breaks. Traveling the full 40 miles in one day suggests urgency, without rest, hunting, or socializing. Pace travel realistically based on your character’s age, health, motivation, and conditions. Most cross-region trips will take time.

Note: Due to current map scaling, some elements may not align perfectly, like small gaps around highlights or pack territory edges. The script will get updates, but scaling may never be exact. Accuracy is still preserved.
