Explore Muttering March
This swath of sandy grassland is named for the soft tin of noise that is nearly constant. The ever-present breeze keeps the reeds in motion, and the calls of frogs, insects, and distant birds lend the land a feeling of quiet life. Ground here is moist underfoot as it seems to seep away from the main area of the Reach and the Tangled Grove as it reaches towards Sturgeon Bay to the north. It is said that the March remembers travelers who pass through and will whisper of their passing for a long while after. It's a place where the wind doesn't quite howl but also never quite settles and one's thoughts can be calmed by the gentle white noise created here. | ||
